Alan Wake Game Review

I might be behind the times, but Alan Wake was the first game on my list to complete for 2014.  After the MMOs and MOBAs which have taken a back seat due to the time that they take to do.

All I have to say about this game, I now understand the hype that it had when it was first released.  The gameplay is ok, I have to admit I played it on easy because I am not much of a gamer I am trying to change that as you will see with my progress through the list that is mentioned above, however you don’t play this game for the gameplay in my opinion its the story where this game exiles.  This game just has one of the best story lines that I have experienced in a game it is almost as if your living the story with the character.  I think this is due to how simple the game play was.  I admit that I haven’t completed everything I just concentrated on the main story and didn’t purposefully go around for the collectables and I would say it took me about 12 hours in total.  This is definitely one that I would recommend picking up you will not be disappointed.

I would give this a 8/10 because I really enjoyed it the story kept engrossed in the game but I felt the gameplay was quite repetitive.   With that being said I now can’t wait to move on to the American Nightmare.  I didn’t put this one on the list because it comes under the Franchise.
