Supernatural review
by Stueeeey on Aug.05, 2010, under Movies/TV Shows
First things first I have only watched 7 episodes of this and probably a little behind considering it is now in its fifth season. However I couldn’t possibly not review this show as it has been enjoyed by all members of the tripod.
It is basically about two brothers that has been touched by Supernatural activities and they now go to anywhere where there are strange things happening. Some people have even compare it to the x files but more intense.
In my opinion a must catch
Sherlock Review
by Stueeeey on Jul.30, 2010, under Movies/TV Shows
So I admit I a not really a Sherlock Holmes follower, the first time I sat down to watch or look at anything to do with Sherlock Holmes was the latest movie which I really enjoyed. The interesting thing about the latest version to made by the BBC is that they bring Sherlock Holmes into today’s time and you kind of see him meeting Dr Watson but he has actually come back from a tour in the army.
At first I admit I missed it on TV however I caught it on BBC Iplayer and was originally put off by the length of the episode as it was an hour and half long and to me that sounded a little to long for a series type program but as I started to watch the episode the time seem to fly by, you just wanted to know what theories Holmes was going to come out with next.
So would I recommend watching it? Yeah even if your not interest in murder mysterious or the Sherlock Holmes stories I would recommend checking it out and seeing what you think of it because I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Invictus Review
by Stueeeey on Jun.18, 2010, under Movies/TV Shows
Was really looking forward to this film but never got chance to in the cinema, if I’m honest it wasn’t what I was expecting as there wasn’t a lot of rugby in the film. It was a political statement and how Nelson Mandela used the rugby team in order to unite South Africa. It is set in a time where the colour of your skin would dictate who you could speak to and the jobs you could do.
All in all it was a good film but if your looking for a Rugby film this film is probably not the one for you. If your looking for a political film that shows you Nelson Mandela at work with the insight on how to use sport to close gaps in society it is definitely for you. I wouldn’t write this film off as it is an interesting film just not quite what is build.
Gamer Movie Review
by Stueeeey on Jun.08, 2010, under Movies/TV Shows
A lot of mates were telling me not to bother with this movie as they had saw it in the cinema and it wasn’t really up to much. Some even went onto say that some scenes just didn’t need to be in there.
However I bit the bullet with the film being on bluray for £6. I was pleasantly surprised with the movie as I wasn’t expecting much from it. I felt that the movie had the right balance of action and storyline. You could even read further into the story line and consider that in the future gaming could become similar to what was in this movie.
I would recommend seeing this film especially at such a low price. I’m glad it is part of my collection
A Death at a Funeral Reviews 2010
by Stueeeey on Jun.03, 2010, under Movies/TV Shows
Apparently there is an original made by a British Company (although I haven’t seen it) apparently the American version is exactly the same just different actors. What did I think of the film well it was hilarious it all tied around a funeral as you can gather and a secret comes out about the deceased.
Although this film was hilariously funny I did come out of the cinema wondering where the two hours went I was in the screen because thinking back on it you didn’t really feel like you seen anything that went any where. That being said the jokes and the comedy around such a small subject, was amazing and I would highly recommending seeing it but I would probably get the DVD/Bluray at the current cinema prices because then you can watch it again and laugh more then once
